Program Introduction

The Scheme is design Promote International understanding and cultural exchange and at the same time optimize the career development of students and recent graduates.

Program Objectives

  • To develop international empathy through cultural exchange.
  • To allow the intern / graduate to reach a level of experience that is commendable to supervisory, management and / or specialist level.
  • To allow the intern / graduate to reach a level of experience that is commendable to a recognised knowledge and understanding of each
    of the core training modules.
  • To provide for a rigorous system of task driven assessment.
  • To provide for the opportunity to overcome real life situations.
  • To learn skills to be used in future work based or training assignments.

Duration & Visa Extensions

  • Average is 12 months.
  • Internship Program CANNOT be extended.
  • Upon completion of your Visa / Internship in the United Kingdom you will have to leave the United Kingdom before your VISA expires.
  • Once your COS (Certificate of Sponsorship) has been issued by the UK registered authorized Sponsor, they will not be able to change or
    transfer to a New Employer.

Living cost

The following calculations must be treated as estimates in view of UK Governmental legislative changes and in view of the Income Tax and National Insurance policiesofindividualestablishments.

Internship Hours: Typically set at 40 hours per week.

Internship Allowance: Minimum of 12,646.40 Sterling Pounds for 12 months during your Internship.

  • Accommodation and Meals offset
  • The rate of accommodation offset is 31.00 - 75.00 per week for Live-in (approx.)
  • The rate of accommodation offset is 50.00-75.00 per week for Live-out. (approx.)
  • Meals may or may not be included within the costs as outlined for accommodation.

National Insurance

All Interns will pay National Insurance which covers medical treatment and this is deducted from your salary on a monthly basis. Interns are exempt from paying National Insurance up to and including the first 97.00 Pounds and thereafter pay contributions at 11% of weekly Internship income. For Example: 12,000.00 Annual Salary divided by 52 weeks = 230.00 Sterling Pounds per week. NI contributions up to 97.00 Pounds = 0%. NI contributions for 98.00 Pounds to 230.00 Pounds = 11% of 132.00 pounds = 14.52 Pounds NI contributions per week.

Income Tax

All Interns will pay Income Tax if they are not enrolled in full-time education overseas or in the UK.

Interns are exempt from paying Income Tax up to and including the first 97.00 Pounds earned in one week and thereafter pays contributions at the following rates.

  • 12,000.00 Annual Salary divided by 52 weeks = 230.00 Sterling Pounds per week.
  • Income Tax contributions up to 97.00 Pounds = 0%
  • Income Tax contributions for 98.00 Pounds to 138.00 Pounds = 10% of 41.00 Pounds = 4.10 Pounds per week
  • Income Tax contributions for 139.00 Pounds to 230.00 Pounds = 22% of 91.00 Pounds = 20.02 Pounds Income Tax contribution per week.

Eligibility Criteria

Age

18-34 yrs old, Will accept over 40 for career change circumstances.

Language

We may require applicants to have IELTS 6.0 average for Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.
